Training & Workshops

Small personalised workshops and large training presentations

Strengthening the support network through exploratory learning

Training can be provided for large groups on a specific topic. Workshops are for smaller groups and allow for interaction with resources and materials and case specific discussions with the therapist and other participants.

Sensory Attachment Parent/Guardian and Child Workshop

A 3-part interactive workshop based on the neurosequential model of therapy to equip parents/guardians with knowledge and practical strategies they can use immediately to nurture their child's nervous system to support sensory and emotional regulation.
The workshops are foundational to further direct work outlined in the package by ensuring that carers understand the importance of connection, felt safety and coregulation in parenting children who have experienced early life disruption or trauma in a therapeutic manner. Equipping families with knowledge and practical strategies at the beginning their intervention journey they are empowered to work from a place of empathetic understanding of differing sensory profiles and attachment strategies which will enhance the efficacy of therapy and may provide enough input to equip some families sufficiently to continue without further intervention.
Session 1 – An practical workshop attended by parents/guardians Session 2 - An practical workshop attended by parents/guardians Session 3 – A daytime session attended by parents/guardians and children.
This workshop can be funded via the child’s therapy budget allowance from the Adoption Support Fund.

Muddle to Huddle Workshop

This workshop works most effectively in smaller groups where there can be interaction, sharing of real life examples and discussion between the therapist and staff team. We would recommend 10-16 attendees maximum. Workshop intentions: • Explore the reasons for dysregulation • What we can do proactively to help? • What reactive strategies can we use in the moment?

Parent & Child Ambassadors

Creating a family centred environment by inviting children and families to guide our decision making.

Environmental Support Visits

A visit to an environment that a child/young person accesses to identify supporting factors and areas of need relevant to their goals. Observation and liaison with the child or young persons support network.
