Parent and Child Ambassadors
Working together to grow Live & Love it
At the core of Live & Love its ethos is to create a child and family centred, homely environment and this means putting the children and families in charge of decision making!
Our Child Ambassadors meetings are an opportunity for children who have seen us (past or present) to share what they would like us to keep, change or add to what we do. All children who wish to attend will be supported to share their views and ideas using their primary form of communication (previous meetings have included use of speech, typing, adult scribing and hand gestures).
Parents/Guardians are also invited to join us for open discussion forums to collaborate on how to enhance our provision for their children.
These sessions are FREE and will happen throughout the year. The sessions will be a mixture of online and face to face.

Curiosity and Collaboration sessions
An opportunity to be curious about a child’s goal or particular daily activity that is challenging and explore this in collaboration with the therapist. The sessions emphasise thoughtful discussion to deepen understanding of why something may be happening as it is and explore opportunities for growth and change.
Group & Paired OT Sessions
Group and paired sessions are an opportunity for children to work on shared goals. Our child ambassadors requested that they attend sessions with children who “find the same things tricky as them” so that they could learn together and share ideas.
